Washingtonian: Ethiopic is one of area's Top 100 Restaurants List

Congratulations to H Street neighborhood residents Sam & Meseret from Ethiopic (401 H St) on being named one of Washington's Top 100 restaurants in the January Washingtonian.  The Washingtonian devotes a full page to a beautiful picture of the vegetarian sampler (one of our favorites)and cheers Ethiopic for making a "concerted effort to her to its orgins."  The piece recommends the vegetarian stews, doro way, buticha (spicy chick peas), and tibs, among other items.

Ethiopic is participating in next week's H Street Eats and offering 20% off the full menu all week, so be sure to drop by then (reservations recommended).

Ethiopic is open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner and Friday and Saturday for lunch.

  1. This makes me so happy I could die! Sam and Meseret are such wonderful people, and they deserve every bit of this!

  2. Congratulations, Sam & Meseret, and thanks for bring your labor of love to H Street! Open less than a year and people can't help but notice the skill and quality apparent in your amazing restaurant!
