Lots to do this weekend

The Third Annual H Street Karoake Competition Championship is tonight at 8 p.m. at the Rock and Roll Hotel (1353 H St).

SOVA (1359 H St) has bluegrass tonight, is still running a great polaroid exhibit, and has H Street's best happy hour deal with half priced beer and wine until 7:30 on weeknights (til 8 on Sundays).

Smith Commons (1245 H St) has extended restaurant week through Sunday.  For $35.11, you get three courses and Smith Commons will through in a draught beer or a glass of wine.

The Atlas Performing Arts Center has Gross National Product's Sound of Palin on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.  They also have DC Shorts  a short film festival, which includes Oscar nominee "God of Love" running this weekend.

The Atlas Room (1015 H St) continues to dish up delicious food and drink, as evidenced by this recent THIH review

The Red Palace (1210-1212 H St) has a Palace of Wonders show on Friday and Red and the Black performances on Saturday.

Stop by H Street's newest bar, Church and State (1236 H St) for a drink before or after your performance or meal.

The Argonaut (1433 H St) is back in full and better than ever with brunch available both days.  We missed Argo brunch as much as we missed the fish tacos and sweet potato fries while they were closed.
