PSA 102 Meeting Tuesday, 6:30 pm @ Sherwood w/ noise forum

The PSA 102 meeting begins early this month with regular business starting at 6:30 tomorrow night at the Sherwood Recreation Center (640 10th St NE).  They plan to hold a noise forum during the latter part of the meeting (limited explanation after the jump). 

PSA 102 is the Police Service Area that covers most of the H Street neighborhood in the areas south of Florida Ave & north of Maryland Ave and meets the second Tuesday of each month upstairs at Sherwood.

Noise Stakeholder’s Forum
You are invited to a noise forum. If you own/manage a business with an ABC license, have an outdoor café, this is an opportunity to ask questions about the new noise law. If you are a resident, and maybe live near a commercial zone, learn how police and regula-tory agencies are working with businesses and residents to achieve good community relations. Between the hours of 10PM and 7AM there is a noise ordinance in effect. Regulatory agencies (including ABRA and DCRA) want to hear from You. Taverns, clubs, res-taurants and other businesses or residents, this is your open forum about noise. This is an attempt to develop a better understanding on the issues involved with noise, as well as the education and enforcement tools that are available including when and how regulatory agencies will use them. Remember this forum is open to all.
