The Sherwood Neighborhood Volunteers have partnered with Casey Trees to plant 19 new trees in the park at the Sherwood Recreation Center (640 10th St NE) on Saturday, March 26, at 9 a.m. Casey Trees is generosly donating the trees in return for the community providing the volunteers necessary to dig the holes for the new trees. All tools will be provided and children of all ages are welcome.
Nearby neighbors Liberty Tree and the Argonaut have graciously agreed to provide a light lunch for volunteers and coffee and bagels will also be available. If you are able to attend, please register with Casey Trees here and sign up on the facebook event page.
