Smith Commons (1245 H St) is off to a great start on H Street and is already getting good reviews. It's unquestionably a gorgeous place to grab a bite or a drink and they offer a variety of inticing options to please your palate.
If you haven't been yet or are looking for an opportunity to get in for a full meal, you'll want to take advantage of Restaurant Week at Smith Commons, which begins on Tuesday.
They've put together a nice selection of offerings from their menu to offer a three-course prix fixe menu for $35.11. We recommend the carpaccio and the eggplant lasagna (which isn't actually a lasagna, but more of a layering of vegetables and cheeses on a thin toast), and the burger which was very popular when they offered it at the H Street Festival last fall. If you prefer to order off the full menu, you can opt to do that in lieu of the Restaurant Week menu.
Smith Commons is going above and beyond your typical Restaurant Week offering by adding a drink to your deal. Anyone of age will also receive a draught beer or a glass of wine to acompany their Restaurant Week meal making for a real deal given the quality of the draught list.
Finally, the deal doesn't end with the formal end of Restaurant Week. Instead, it will run two weeks through Sunday, January 30, so you've got plenty of time to make a reservation.
