10th Annual DC Public Schools Beautification Day is Saturday, August 23

DC Public Schools is hosting its 10th annual Beautification Day on Saturday, August 23rd, 2014, from 9AM-1PM.

Join over 4,000 volunteers for a variety of projects to help clean and spruce up schools in preparation for the students first day of school. Activities will include gardening and landscaping, organizing books and libraries, painting, flower planting and more.

We have lots of local DCPS in our neighborhood from Capitol Hill Montessori (3rd & G), to Peabody (5th & C), to Ludlow Taylor (7th & G), to JO Wilson (6th & K), to School Within a School (10th & F), to Maury (13th & Constitution), to Miner (15th & F).  Odds are good that if you live near H Street, you are a short walk away from a DC Public School.  If you're in town August 23, set aside the morning to volunteer at one of our many local public schools.
