DDOT Streetscape contractor MACTEC's Community Relations Specialist Margaret Gentry has the following great news that the south side of H Street between 8th & 13th is set to be paved and fully reopened for traffic and parking as 3rd through 8th Street were recently in the coming days.
The milling and final asphalt paving of the south curb lane and south center lane of H Street from 8th Street to 13th Street is on schedule to begin tomorrow (Thursday, April 7), weather permitting. After the paving, the lane striping will be applied, and after that, the roadway will be fully re-opened for traffic and parking. As you've probably seen, the H Street section from 3th to 8th has already been re-opened.
Please be aware that temporary "no parking" signs have been posted on the north side of H Street and will be in force from 7 am to 7 pm during the paving operation. This is so the north curb lane can be used as a traffic lane during the paving.
As always, thank you for your patience and please call on us whenever you would like additional information or assistance.
