The Brentwood Post Office has "Dear Santa" letters from nearly 600 kids (and their parents, grandparents etc) who are asking for toys, clothes, bedding and other items for Christmas 2015. USPS is asking for donors to help fulfill these wishes. One little boy wrote that this is the 2nd year he's asking for something, since he didn't get a reply last year.
Donors can fulfill all or part of the requests in a letter; or substitute a more general age-appropriate gift (bear, doll, book, some socks). Individuals can pick up to 10 letters; organizations and offices can take up to 25, Saturdays 9 to noon; and Mondays Through Fridays until December 21, when all packages are due back. **Pick up letters 9 to 3 through the 21st (Monday through Fridays and Saturdays 9 to 12). You will be asked for Driver's License Info and phone number. (When you arrive, ask at guard's desk for Sherry or for a Secret Santa Employee to come out).
Gifts should be wrapped, marked with the # of the letter, and put into a sealed shipping box (w the # of the letter on the outside) NO later than Monday, December 21.
NOTE: If you can't get to the Post Office, the Friends of the Rosedale Library has picked up 20 letters, which you can select from and deliver the gifts to us; or you can make a donation for a specific letter or towards the general fund. Contact Dana Wyckoff, 571-213-1630
