CrossFit DC opening at 1365 H St on Saturday, April 26; open house today noon to 2 pm

CrossFit DC Northeast will open for business and classes next Saturday, April 26 at 1365 H St.  They're having an Open House today, noon to 2 pm, so stop by to say hello.

CrossFit DC fills the former H Street Playhouse space at 1365 H St

CrossFit DC was started in 2005 as the first CrossFit affiliate in Washington, D.C. "What sets us apart is the quality of our coaching and our emphasis on community through fitness," says Chris Sheppard, CrossFit DC Co-Owner and Head Coach. "Whether we’re working with competitive athletes or fitness rookies, we tailor our coaching to our members to help them realize their health and performance goals. And no matter how challenging the workout, we’re just as serious about having fun in the process."

CrossFit DC Northeast joins the Logan Circle facility at 1722 14th St NW. The new gym will provide another home base for CrossFit DC’s diverse community – from families to young professionals, military veterans to government workers, lawyers to chefs, students to stay-at-home moms. The NE facility will also serve as a new fitness hub for the fast-growing H Street corridor. "Our vision has always been about building a community of people that support each other," says CrossFit DC Founder and Co-Owner Tom Brose. "We’re excited to join H Street’s thriving small-business scene, work with a landlord who is active in the community, and put our heart and soul into serving people in one of D.C.’s most vibrant neighborhoods."

Program offerings at CrossFit DC Northeast will include two-week-long Elements courses for CrossFit beginners, advanced workouts for competitive athletes, personal training, and a full slate of classes at a wide variety of times. The 4500-square-foot space will be fully outfitted with all the equipment that any current or aspiring CrossFitter could hope for, while preserving the unique architecture that has long distinguished the building as an Atlas District landmark. High ceilings for gymnastics rings and climbing ropes; a 70-foot turf lane for indoor sprints and sled pushes; and an open floor plan will provide a "dream space" for the creative strength training and conditioning sessions that have long been a CrossFit DC hallmark.

CrossFit DC Northeast will open for classes beginning Saturday, April 26. For more information, please visit http://www.crossfitdcne.com or email info@crossfitdc.com.
