Saturday is opening day for the H Street FreshFarm Farmers Market (1300 H St). Neighbor & Washington Post Food Section Editor, Joe Yonan will kick off the market's 10th year on H with a kimchi deviled egg demonstration.
Our soon to be Ward 6 Councilmember & H Street Market regular Charles Allen will ring the opening bell at 9 am. If you want to get one of Frenchie's amazing croissants, you'll want to plan to arrive by then to grab a spot in line.
It looks like the usual vendors will all return this year. One new vendor to check out is Amore Gelato, which uses organic dairy and fresh, local ingredients in its gelatos.
The Market runs every Saturday through Thanksgiving, from 9 am to noon at 1300 H Street.
