Souk seeks liquor license

Souk (1208 H St) serves great mediterranean/middle eastern fare, but to date has only been able to offer soft drinks to accompany their delicious hummus, grape leaves, falafel, and kebobs. They recently applied for a liquor license to allow them to serve alcoholic beverages with your meal. If all goes well, they should have more beverage options to choose from later this Spring.

  1. This is good news. They will remain a good restaurant, but will be somewhere I am more likely to dine in than use as a take out once they can serve me a beer alongside my meal. I like these guys and am glad to see them doing well.

  3. Their website is unintentionally hilarious!

I just had take-out from Souk and it was delicious! When I picked up the order, the woman told me that they would be putting a bar in on the west wall. hth
