Florida Ave Multimodal Transportation Study Meeting #2 Thursday, Oct. 17, 7 pm at Gallaudet (800 Florida Ave NE)

The second of the three public meetings for the Florida Avenue Multimodal Transportation Study. This public workshop will be held Thursday, October 17 (7pm to 9pm) at Gallaudet University, in the Jordan Student Academic Center (JSAC) – Sprint Multipurpose Room.  If you'd like to see better sidewalks, narrower roads, bike lanes or other changes to Florida Avenue NE or the roads adjacent to it, you'll want to attend this meeting.

Public Meeting for Florida Avenue NE
Transportation Improvements

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is hosting the second of three public meetings to guide the Florida Avenue Multimodal Transportation Study. Members of the community are encouraged to attend this meeting to discuss the future of Florida Avenue NE.

Focusing on the Florida Avenue NE corridor from New York Avenue to H Street and Benning Road, the study will evaluate traffic safety, streetscape, and operational enhancements to improve this important corridor. Participants will receive an update on project findings to date and will have an opportunity to recommend transportation improvements for portions of the study area through an interactive exercise.
