Mike Neibauer reports in the Washington Business Journal about a challenge to the contract to purchase the last couple cars for the H Street streetcar line.

Housing Complex reports on a proposal to convert part of the vacant hospital space at 8th & Massachusetts into residences.  That goes before ANC6A for review Wednesday night.

    I think it's happening and welcome the concept generally though I understand there's some concern related to past interaction with ownership and how the plans fit within the historic district. There will be two upcoming meetings organized for the neighborhood. The first will be Thursday, January 26 at 7 pm at St. Monica and St James Church, 222 8th Street NE. The developer will make a presentation and will answer questions in a forum
    moderated by ANC Commissioners. The second meeting will follow on January 31, same time, same place, where the neighbors will discuss the development among themselves.
