DC Scoop is a fun event featuring pretty much every top notch ice cream and frozen treats purveyor from around DC. It was one of the first big events to be held at Union Market and last year Union Market's own vendor Trickling Springs Creamery won for the best ice cream (it was and remains our favorite). While Trickling Springs offers outstanding ice cream each week Wednesday through Sunday at Union Market (we especially like their coffee and butter peacon flavors and just about any flavored milk shake), this is great opportunity to taste some other terrific ice creams and gelatos from around town for free. Stop by Union Market and enjoy some cool treats amidst this hot weather.
