H Street Holiday Guide

Here are just a few quick ideas for getting festive and doing some last minute buying local holiday shopping in the neighborhood.

-Hit Sidamo for some fresh roasted beans, which make a great stocking stuffer & ship well.
-Grab pies from Dangerously Delicious are great for hosting holiday parties or taking home.
-Contact H Street Bakes' Kim Moffatt and order one of her delightful baked goods.  cuckoobananascheesecake@gmail.com
-Metro Mutts has whatever your might need for your pet or any pet-loving family & friends.
-Healthy Motions Massage -- Did you know there was a great spot to get a massage at 7th & K NE?  They've been running a sale on pre holiday gift certificates for 60 minute treatments recently.
-How about a special holiday dinner?  Ethiopic, the Atlas Room, and Smith Commons all have a great vibe and delicious food.
-Last time I checked there was still a little Great Lakes Christmas Ale to be enjoyed at the Pug and its now on tap at Smith Commons as well
-Black Nativity at the H Street Playhouse. It's getting great reviews and selling out ahead of time.
-The Atlas has Matt Wilson's Jazz Holiday Tree-0 tonight.
-Donate to your favorite nonprofit.  Three of our DC favorites are Casey Trees, the Atlas Performing Arts Center, and The Capitol Hill Community Foundation.  There's also a spot doing Christmas donation collection for those in need at the Hechinger mall.  It's always nice to remember to give back this time of year, especially to those in need.

Cheers and happy holidays!
