Meeting on state of NPS managed Capitol Hill Parks, Tuesday, September 10, 6:30 pm at Lincoln Park United Methodist (1301 North Carolina Ave NE)

A Capitol Hill Parks community meeting with the National Parks Service has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The meeting will occur at the Lincoln Park United Methodist Church at 1301 North Carolina Ave., N.E, (Fellowship Hall).  Neighbors can attend and learn about the National Park Service's goals related to Capitol Hill parks and discuss how to enhance community involvement. 

Topics to be discussed include the following:
· Updates on Rodent Management
· Playground Equipment (Replacement/ Safety Inspections)
· Short-term and Long-term Park Plans (Renovations for community preparedness)
· Planned Facility/ Grounds Maintenance Projects (Community Volunteer Opportunities)
· Friends Group (Invite stakeholder/ community dialogue with upper management)
· Space for Dogs / Dog Leash Laws
· Community Bulletin Boards
· NPS Online Map of property management

If you have questions or concerns about NPS managed parks in the neighborhood, this should be a good opportunity to see them addressed.
