Ward 6 Community Office Hours with Councilmember Charles Allen and his staff come to H Street tomorrow Wednesday, May 20, 5:30 - 7 pm, for a happy hour at Smith Commons (1245 H St). These events are a great opportunity to talk through your hopes and ideas for bettering our community with our Councilmember and his staff. This one is also a great excuse to take advantage of one of the best happy hours on H Street. We hope to see you there!

Rosedale Adopt A Block Spring Cleanup tomorrow May 9, 3 pm
Live in or around Rosedale? Help get it looking good for spring by participating in this community cleanup tomorrow.

The Rosedale Adopt-A-Block Program run by Pete Maki and Mr. "Doc" Roots is holding a Spring Clean-up Event this Saturday (5/9). Just an hour or so of your time will help make the neighborhood so much nicer. They'll have some gloves and trash bags, but feel free to bring your own.
WHEN: Start time is 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 9th.

Wednesday is Bike to School Day -- join your neighbors at Lincoln Park between 7:30 and 8:15
On Wednesday, May 6th, families from Capitol Hill schools will have our annual bike-to-school gathering at Lincoln Park at 7:30am.
Grab a snack, hear Councilmember Charles Allen, enjoy a routine by the J.O. Wilson Cheerleaders, and then hop on the bike train to your school.
Register your school HERE to get free stickers from DDOT’s Safe Routes to School program. Registered schools also have the opportunity to compete for the DDOT Golden Bicycle Award. The Golden Bicycle goes to the DC school with the highest percentage of students who arrive by bicycle, scooters, or skateboards on May 6th.
